Industrial Ice Machine

Our Industrial Ice Machines are used in many different industries. If you need large quantities of ice to cool your products, our Ice Machine is a good solution. By using Omega Pillow Plates, our machines remain relatively small and are easy to maintain.
Based on your wishes, we make heat calculations to see which capacity of the Ice Machine you need. Our Ice Machines are always custom-made and designed to your wishes and needs.

How does an Ice Machine work?
Water is pumped to the top of evaporator and flows freely on the external surface of the evaporator plates. Refrigerant is pumped to the internal surface of the evaporator plates, building uniformly thick ice on external surface of the evaporator plates. As ice reaches a thickness of 5-10 mm, it is released by applying hot gas refrigerant to the internal surface of the evaporator plates. Ice falls into the storage tank and breaks into small pieces, which can be pumped or transported by a screw conveyor to wherever cooling is needed.

  • Capacities from 1.000 up to 100.000 Kg/day ice per unit
  • Ice thickness up to 5 mm on each plate side
  • No moving parts which means maintenance is minimal
  • Low energy consumption due to high evaporating temperature and low volume
  • High ice production due to relatively small machine
  • Easy to keep clean

All of our Ice Machines are custom-made. Together with an engineer, we look at what your needs are to cool and which capacity suits you. If required, we will make a heat calculation. Below you find our options:

Depending on your requirements, Omega Ice Machines produce 1.000 to > 100.000 kg of ice a day.
Per Pillow Plate, 5 - 10 mm of ice can be frozen on both sides at a time.

Almost all coolants can be used with these types of Ice Machines, such as R717, Glycol, Alkali, CO2, R22, R134A and R404A.
If you want to use other coolants, please email one of our engineers.

The Ice Machine is made of stainless steel, such as 304, 316, SMO-254 and Duplex 2205. If you want a cooler made of a different material, please email one of our engineers.

Ice Machines were originally used for the fresh food and beverage industry. We now see that our Ice Machines are also used for other applications.
